The Role of Interpretation in the Development of Mystical Language

بحث از زبان عرفان در گرو ارايه ويژگي هايي است كه آن را متمايز از ديگر گونه هاي زباني معرفي كند. تأكيد بر وجود اصطلاحات حوزه تصوف و يا حضور عناصر هنري ادبي در اين زبان، نشان از برخوردي غيرمسأله وار با مبحث زبان عرفان در اغلب پژوهش هاي پيشين دارد. مقاله حاضر بر آن است تا تأويل را به عنوان ويژگي و اصل اساسي شكل گيري و گسترش زبان عرفان معرفي كند. زبان عرفان در روند حركتي خود با گذر از مفاهيم و ساختارهاي زباني موجود، در فرايندي تأويلي به ارائه مفاهيم و ساختارهايي نو مي پردازد. اهميت نقش تأويل گذشته از گونه هاي آشكار و مرسوم آن، در توليد ژرف ساخت هايي است كه عامل اصلي گسترش معنايي و صوري زبان عرفان بوده اند. اين نگاه، laquo ظاهر raquo و laquo باطن raquo را نيز با صرف نظر كردن از معاني مرسوم هستي شناختي يا معرفت شناختي آنها، با تعبيري زبان شناختي و براساس خروج از بافت پيشين و ورود به بافتي نو معرفي مي كند. ژرف ساخت هاي تأويلي و نقش آن ها در حركت باطني معنا، موجب مي شوند تا زبان عرفان بيش از محور همنشيني بر روي محور جانشيني گسترش يابد؛ عاملي كه برجستگي وجه ادبي در متون عرفاني را نيز در پي دارد.

Discussing the language of mysticism requires offering a number of features which distinguishes it from other linguistic varieties. Emphasizing the presence of Sufism terms or the presence of artisticliterary elements in such a language shows a neutral reaction to the issue of mystical language in previous studies. This paper aims to introduce interpretation as the fundamental factor in the formation of and development of such language. Passing through existent lingual concepts and structures, language of mysticism proposes novel meanings and structures in an interpretive procedure. The significance of interpretation is in the creation of deep structures which are the main factor behind the structural and semantic development of this language. Disregarding the conventional ontological and epistemological meanings of them, via a linguistic interpretation, this view introduces ldquo Zahirrdquo (the outside) and ldquo Batenrdquo (the inside) as going outside the old context and entering the new context. Interpretive deep structures and their role in the spiritual movement of meaning cause the language of mysticism develop on the paradigmatic axis rather than syntagmatic axis a factor which highlights literary aspect in mystical texts.
