Abstract :
The angular distribution of desorbing N2 was studied in transient N2O decomposition on Rh(1 1 0) by both pressure jump and temperature-programmed decomposition (TPD). Even at 60 K, N2O was decomposed, emitting N2 along either around 688 or 308 off normal towards the [0 0 1] direction. In the latter TPD, N2 desorption yielded five peaks in the range of 70–160 K. Four of them involved desorption in similarly inclined ways.
