Innovation Strategies, Performance Diversity and Development: An Empirical Analysis in Iran Construction and Housing Industry

استراتژي نوآوري اساس موفقيت نوآوري و بهبود عملكرد است. مقاله حاضر، مدلي مربوط به مهم ترين استراتژي هاي نوآوري را كه تاثير بسزايي بر عملكرد صنايع دارند، ارايه مي دهد. سپس، به بررسي روابط ميان استراتژي هاي نوآوري و توسعه و تنوع عملكرد مي-پردازد. بدين منظور، يك مطالعه تجربي در صنعت ساختمان ايران انجام گرفت، و داده هاي ميداني جهت بررسي اهداف تحقيق از 7 نهاد متوّلي صنعت ساختمان و 93 شركت كوچك و متوسط فعال در صنعت، با ابزار پرسشنامه گردآوري شد. يافته ها نشان داد كه استراتژي هاي نوآوري نظير پيشرو، تحليل گرانه، آينده‌نگرانه و تهاجمي به ترتيب بر توسعه ي عملكرد صنعت تاثير مي-گذارند. همچنين، استراتژي‌هاي پيشرو، ريسكي و آينده نگرانه از اثرگذارترين استراتژي هاي نوآوري بر تنوع عملكرد هستند. نتايج اين مطالعه پيشنهاد مي كند كه سياست گذاران صنعت ساختمان و مديران عالي شركت ها بايستي استراتژي هاي نوآوري پيشرو و آينده نگرانه را بطور همزمان با چشم انداز صنعت و شركت ها پيوند داده و زمينه را براي پياده سازي آن ها در سراسر صنعت فراهم آورند

Innovation strategy is the basis of success in innovation and performance improvement. This paper represents a model related to the most important innovation strategies which have a significant impact on performance of industries. Then, it examines the relationships between innovation strategies and diversity and development of the performance. So, the empirical research was carried out in Iranian construction industry and practical data were gathered out of7main industry institutions and 93 construction SMEs by questionnaires to examine paper objectives. The findings show that innovation strategies such as proactive, analyzer, futuristic and aggressive strategies influence on the performance development of the industry. Also, strategies such as proactive, risk taking and futuristic ones are the most effective innovation strategies in the performance diversity. Results of this study suggest that to achieve performance diversity and development, construction industryʹs policy makers and top managers should implement and promote pro active and futurity strategies, simultaneously, across the industry.
