Abstract :
The Bcl-2 family protein Bax is a key effector of apoptosis. now describe the reconstitution and regulation in liposomes of tBid-mediated membrane penetration and oligomerization of Bax. These and other recent studies shed new light on the control of permeabilization of the mitochondrial outer membrane during apoptosis.
