Abstract :
Necrosis is often viewed as an accidental and unregulated cellular event. However, accumulating evidence suggests that necrosis, like apoptosis, can be executed by regulated mechanisms. now describe an extensive network of genes that mediate a form of programmed necrosis called necroptosis.
