Abstract :
During cellular stress, monoubiquitin is in demand due to the accumulation of misfolded proteins that require proteasomal degradation. now show in yeast that monoubiquitin levels are bolstered during stress conditions by downregulation of the protein Rfu1, an inhibitor of the deubiquitinating enzyme Doa4.
