Abstract :
The mechanisms underlying chromosome organization in bacteria are still shrouded in mystery. and now report that the DNA-binding protein ParB ensures proper arrangement and partitioning of chromosomal DNA in Bacillus subtilis by recruiting the condensin SMC to the replication origin region.
