Abstract :
The activation process for the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) involves formation of an asymmetric dimer of the tyrosine kinase domains. in this issue and in Molecular Cell now demonstrate that the juxtamembrane region of EGFR plays a crucial role in stabilizing this dimer.
