Abstract
Male germ cells are induced to form from the epiblast of the mouse embryo by a combination of WNT and bone morphogenetic protein signals. now clarify the steps of mouse germ cell formation and use this genetic insight to direct the specification and differentiation of germline progenitor cells in vitro.
