Evaluation of IT Service Providers for outsourcing of e-banking services using PROMETHEE and SAW techniques

Decision on ranking IT companies could lead to competitive advantages for them. It is of utmost importance to choose a qualified supplier by adopting the appropriate methods and using efficient decision making techniques. The multi attribute decision making methods have been used in this study, to evaluate the capacity of IT suppliers in outsourcing of electronic banking services as well. Reviewing literatures, the proposed criteria were detected to choose supplier using experts’ point of views in this regard. Hence, the statistical analyses were applied to filter the efficient variables and key indices were selected using T-test. The meaningful variables included support services, flexibility, appropriate price, qualified services, information security and on-time delivery. The suppliers were ranked in the next step using PROMETHEE and SAW techniques. The ranking results were compared, then, using these two methods. Accordingly the final ranking was applied by aggregation strategies by Copeland, Borda and the arithmetic mean.
