Purposive and stratified random sampling methods were used in the study. The results of the study, based on secondary and primary data revealed that the introduction of the multi currency system had significant contribution to the cost and financing of education and the retention of teaching staff. It also impacted on the availability of learning infrastructure, secondary school dropouts and retention, and registration in the Ordinary and Advanced Level examinations.
