Abstract :
The assembly of COPI into a cage-like lattice sculpts membrane vesicles that transport cargo from the Golgi apparatus. Now, present X-ray crystal structures of COPI suggesting that these coats combine selected features of two other archetypal coats, clathrin and COPII.
