Abstract :
The mechanism by which the apoptosome activates caspases during apoptosis has been controversial. now present a crystal structure of a funnel-shaped octameric apoptosome complex from the nematode Caenorhabditis elegans that challenges currently held assumptions about the human apoptosome structure.
