Theory and application of chemically modified carbon paste electrode to copper speciation determination

The determination and speciation of copper at a carbon paste electrode modified with Dowex 50W-8X cation-exchange resin was investigated in model and real samples. With this procedure free metal ions and labile complexes can be measured which dissociate during the time scale of the chemical accumulation of copper at the electrode.
