Evaluation of the ion selective electrodes module in the DAX analyzers

The analytical performance of the ion selective electrodes module of the DAX analyzers was studied according to guidelines for ISE evaluation recommended by the Instrumentation Commission of the Spanish Society of Clinical Chemistry (SEQC) and the Guidelines for the Evaluation of Analysers in Clinical Chemistry recommended by the European Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards (ECCLS). Imprecision, one-day drift, analytical range, sample-related carry-over, assessment of accuracy, influence of lipid and protein concentration, effect of temperature and interferences between pairs of ions were studied. Overall results are according to acceptability criteria.
