Abstract :
The present research was performed for the effectiveness of Gestaltʹs group play therapy on the improvement of social skills in pre-school children. For this same purpose, 20 girl children who attended in i kindergartens in 2012, were selected by the randomized sampling method using of taking the history, observation and interviewing with the trainers of kindergartens and they were placed into two experimental and control groups (each group consisting of 10 persons). The research method was of experimental pretest post test kind with control group. The grading scales consisting of social skills of children (parents form), and the evaluation of the trainer about the social behaviour of child were filled out before and after performing the independent variable (Gestaltʹs play therapy) and the obtained data was analyzed using of spss software and by descriptive and deductive statistics methods. The obtained results represented the meaningful difference and change in post-test scores in the experimental group. Consequently, Gestaltʹs play therapy was effective on the improvement of social skills in pre-school children.
