Abstract :
Aimed to risks analysis in Iranian container terminals, the present research has been implemented by use of ELECTRE and Shannonʹs entropy methods in three stages. The first stage by analysis of accidents and incidents occurred database As well; brain storming cessions attended by experts from the mentioned container terminals were held during which twenty two numbers of risks were identified. Then based on the criteria of determination of causes occurrence probability (occurrence frequency), the extent of its impact on process after occurrence (severity) and probability of its identification prior to having impact on the process (detection), the causes were scored in form of a scale from 1 to 10. In the second stage, using Shannonʹs entropy method, the mentioned criteria were weighted. The criterion of occurrence probability was the most weighted (42%) and the criterion of probability of identification of causes prior to having impact on the process was the least weighted (26%). Finally in third stage Based on the obtained scores by each one of the risks, the matrix of decision making was formed and the mentioned risks were ranked by use of ELECTRE method. Considering the final achieved results, poisoning of workers at the time of inspection and strip of container containing dangerous goods and Collision of Gantry Crane Spreader to ships board and container Twist lock fall on workers have gained highest importance and priority.
