Abstract :
A number of fluorescein derivatives were synthesized and their fluorescent properties were studied. Diphosphates of fluorescein derivatives were tested for the alkaline phosphatase-linked fluorescence assay of membrane-bound DNA to give high resolution detection of DNA. DNA was found to be detectable down to 20 fg in an assay using N-(2-biphenylcarbonyl)-and N(4-biphenylcarbonyl)-5-aminofluorescein diphosphate.
