Abstract :
Li2ZrO3 nanoparticles were synthesized by the Gel Combustion Process. The
synthesized nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning
electron microscopy (SEM). The synthesized Li2ZrO3 nanoparticles were used for the
modification of carbon paste electrode and sodium docylsulphate (SDS) anionic surfactant
was further modified by the immobilization technique for the electrochemical determination
for dopamine at pH 7.2 phosphate buffer solution. The modified carbon paste electrode SDS/
Li2ZrO3 shows excellent electrochemical sensor for dopamine and also in the simultaneous
determination dopamine, ascorbic acid and uric acid. The modified electrode showed high
sensitivity, high reproducibility, easy preparation and regeneration of the electrode surface.
