Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Self-Esteem

The current research is a description of correlation type, statistical society of this research involved teachers of Kerman who teach on 2009-2010. The example volume involved 236 teachers who have been selected by random-class sampling. For collecting data, four questionnaires were used that included emotional intelligence of Travis and Bradburyʹs questionnaire, Smith’s self-esteem questionnaire and Pentrij and D Grout’s questionnaire. SPSS software and frequency distribution tables, descriptive statistics average, median, mode, standard deviation, skewness, inferential statistics such as Pearson, simple, multiple regression and path analysis were used for the analysis of data. Research findings shows that there is a positive and significant relationship between emotional intelligence and its components managerial self-consciousness, social consciousness and relationship management with self- esteem.
