  • Abstract
Contemporary architecture still is not quite clear even for many experts and architects. Architectural complexity and challenges and contrast between many urban factors are too large so that solving even a part of these problems, not all of them (which is a major and seemingly unattainable goal), is considered as a great triumph for the contemporary architecture. In fact, an ideal architecture which has no problem is considered as a utopia. Today, architecture is so much involved with the issues such as speed, industrialization and other issues such as beliefs and traditions have been neglected. While in traditional societies, social relations and beliefs of the people were closer together and most people knew each other and social relations came into existence based on the long-term familiarity. Friendships and family relations were stable. One way to restore this individual identity is to use elements of traditional architecture (central courtyard). This issue has resulted in an article extracted from my masterʹs thesis.
