A compact titration configuration for process analytical applications Original Research Article

A configuration for wet-chemical process analysis is proposed consisting of one piston burette, a selector valve and a reaction cell. The feasibility of the configuration is shown by optimising a simple acid/base titration setup. Other applications of this configuration for complexometric-, precipitation-, and back-titration, standard addition and photometric methods are discussed. The configuration offers great flexibility towards these methods without the need for modification, while its robustness makes it especially suitable for on-line process analysis.
