  • Abstract
The possibility of using a single transferable calibration model for Raman spectrometers of different makes is studied. Two Raman spectrometers of two different firms (a Jobin-Yvon S3000 and a DILOR LABRAM 260 V) were used. A model for quantitative analysis was built for the Jobin-Yvon spectrometer using 21 calibration spectra and its validation was checked with 19 other spectra. The same model was then used for the analysis of 19 validation spectra recorded with the DILOR 260 V spectrometer. A fast, simplified procedure is given allowing the transformation of the experimental spectra measured with the second spectrometer to make them compatible with spectra recorded on the first one. The validity of the procedure tested on a Raman remote analysis using the RLFO (Raman laser fiber optics) technique of a benzene–heptane mixture is discussed.
