Recent trends in the application of microdialysis in bioprocesses Original Research Article

This review presents the recent and possible future development trends in the application of microdialysis in biotechnological processes. Microdialysis is compared to other sampling strategies for bioprocess monitoring. An analysis of the microdialysis experiment, different probe designs, membrane characteristics and performance as reflected by the extraction fraction and the application to different bioprocesses is given.
