Abstract :
The aim of this study is to assess thequality of infection control training using distance education and the comparison of such assessment with classroomteaching method for the 20thand 21stdental studentsof Hamadan Faculty of Dentistry.Thisintervention – empiric study was conducted inthe Faculty of Dentistry, Hamadan University of Medical Sciencesin 2013, Iran. The subjects were 73 junior and senior divided into two groups.The scores of both groups were compared and analyzed to evaluate teaching methods in promoting student information in the field of infection control. The collected information will be analyzed by SPSS19 software, descriptive statistics and statistical tests such as t-test and paired t-test.Distance education used in this study is a type of asymmetrictraining and the CD-ROM based training was used in implementing and running the e-learning system. The use of distance learning methods (CD-ROM Model) had overalla better effect than the method ofclassroom teaching.
