Influence of Communication Skills on Marital Satisfaction and Life Quality among Mothers of Girls High School Students

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the influence of communication skills training on marital satisfaction and life quality among mothers of girls’ high school students of Kerman, district one, during 2012_2013. The study population consisted of 5850 mothers of girls high school students, from which a total of 50 were randomly selected among Hazrat-e-Khadije high school and were then randomly put into two groups of 25: one group as the experimental and the other as the control group. The training program included eight 90-minutes once-a-week sessions of communication skills plus another session for the post-test. Theinstruments used in the present study were as follows: Enrich marital satisfaction scale and SF-36 quality of life questionnaire. A training content was designed to instruct subjects. The results indicated that communication skills training, influences mothersʹ marital satisfaction and life quality.
