Abstract :
This study aims at investigating the effectiveness of therapeutic schemes in the
moderation and reduction of primary incompatible schemes in women suffering from
dependent personality disorder. It is an experimental case study with multiple
asynchronous base lines. The statistical sample consists of four women suffering from
dependent personality disorder who have referred to psychology clinics in the city of
Kerman. These women were identified through clinical interviews and were selected
using goal-directed sampling method and then, in order to specify whether the women
suffer from dependent personality disorder, Million’s Clinical Multiple Inventory III
(MCMI III) was applied.
After determining that the women suffer from dependent personality disorder, and
obtaining their consent for participation in the research project of therapeutic schemes,
a combination of some therapeutic schemes techniques was applied during a period of
12 sessions. In these sessions Young’s short questionnaire was used i n order to
examine the progress of the participants. The results of the study implicate that the
therapeutic scheme is relatively effective in the moderation and reduction of primary
incompatible schemes in this group of the participants.
