Abstract :
High-moment FeCoN soft magnetic films with B/sub s/ of 23.5 kG were prepared using reactive dc magnetron sputtering and were used in inductive write heads for both longitudinal recording demonstration at 130 Gb/in/sup 2/ and perpendicular recording demonstration at 145 Gb/in/sup 2/.
