Abstract :
A skeleton structure, which consists of dielectric cylinders connecting the tetrahedral and octahedral centers among close-packed template spheres, is found in a titania inverse opal prepared by the template-directed method using monodispersed polystyrene particles of size View the MathML source. The skeleton structure can have two complete photonic band gaps.
