Abstract :
Pulsed electron nuclear double resonance (ENDOR) spin technology has been invoked for realization of a quantum computer (QC). Sample preparation of molecular spins, quantum operations, and measurements have been performed successfully, showing that ENDOR QC is feasible. We have employed a typical stable organic open-shell entity, malonyl radical, for pulsed ENDOR-based QC experiments. Time proportional phase incrementation (TPPI) technique was applied in order to characterize entangled states. The appearance of the entanglement between electron and nuclear spins was discussed based on the pulsed ENDOR-QC experiments with the TPPI detection. The generated entangled state was operated by both the microwave and RF pulses, demonstrating the appearance of a spinor property with four-π periodicity due to electron spin-1/2, in a straightforward manner for the first time. Interconversion from one entangled state to the other one via quantum operation was demonstrated.
