Abstract :
We report on the fabrication of Zn–Se and Cd–Se micro heterostructures using template synthesis via electrochemical deposition in pores of polycarbonate track-etch membrane. The morphology of these heterostructures was studied by SEM and transport behavior of charge carriers was examined by recording their I–V curves. SEM results show high-resolution images of these structures and I–V characteristics show a prominent feature of negative differential resistance likewise found in resonant tunneling diodes (RTDs). This technique can be used to fabricate an array of multilayered heterostructures.
