Abstract
We report a study of the anomalous conductance plateau around 0.7(2e2/h) and the zero-bias anomaly in ballistic one-dimensional (1D) hole systems. In-plane magnetic field B applied to the 1D system shows a clear anisotropic behavior of the 0.7 structure and the zero-bias anomaly for parallel B∥ and perpendicular B⊥ to the quantum wire. These measurements confirm that these features are closely linked and related to spin. Moreover, we demonstrate that the behavior of the 0.7 structure could be influenced by band mixing at low conductance in this spin-View the MathML source 1D systems.
