Abstract :
The electron–electron interactions play an important role on the inelastic scatterings in carbon nanotubes. The decay rates of electronic states strongly depend on the wave vector (the state energy), the deexcitation mechanisms (intraband or interband excitations; single-particle or collective excitations), and the temperature. The Fermi-momentum (kF) state exhibits the special linear temperature dependence, which is hardly affected by the chiral angle. The calculated results are roughly consistent with the experimental measurements from the ultrafast optical spectroscopies.
