Abstract :
We present a study of electron momentum density distribution in Multiwall Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNT). The Compton profile measurement is made using 59.54 keV gamma-rays from Am241 source. In the absence of band structure-based calculations, the experimental data is compared with the Compton profile of graphite and C60. The results reveal that like C60 the electron momentum density is more localized in momentum space in MWCNT than graphite.
