Abstract
The interaction of intersubband excitons and optic plasmons in asymmetric bilayers (double quantum wells) in the energy range near the intersubband transition is considered. The anticrossing of excitation energies in the asymmetric bilayers with tunneling is found analytically. For narrow quantum wells with weak tunneling the splitting and the corresponding momentum as functions of double well parameters and intersubband energy are calculated. The influence of asymmetry, tunneling and weak magnetic field on the energy splitting is studied.
