Abstract :
Photoluminescence experiments in high magnetic fields are presented which reveal diamagnetic shifts consistent with a type II CB offset for Si0.76Ge0.24 of at least 13 meV. From the magnetoluminescence data evidence for localized and free exciton recombination is found, which would not be separable from each other without magnetic field.
