Abstract :
We have studied physical aspects of the charge and spin density responses of nanoscopic rings that might be detected by Raman spectroscopy. We have taken an InAs–GaAs ring as a case of study with N=10 electrons and several values of the on-plane transferred momentum q. Distinct monopole to quadrupole modes appear in the spin density, and especially in the charge density channel. We have found that both channels are coupled if the ground-state is ferromagnetic.
