Abstract
We observed anisotropic large peak-energy shift of photoluminescence (PL) from CdTe/Cd0.75Mn0.25Te quantum wires (QWRs). The large PL-peak-energy shift is caused by the exchange interaction between excitons in the non-magnetic QWR and Mn ions in the DMS barrier. The exchange interaction is enhanced when magnetic field is perpendicular to the QWR.
