Abstract
We perform time-resolved current measurements in a quantum Hall device, which allows for selective population and detection of edge states. Weak coupling of the edge channels is provided by the top gate situated close to the plane of the two-dimensional electron system. We are able to identify two wave packets of edge magnetoplasmons propagating with different velocities in the regime of integer quantum Hall effect by detecting selectively outer as well as inner edge states.
