  • Abstract
    Object-based multimedia communications demand a much more sophisticated delivery framework for delivering synchronized, multiplexed, media object streams across the Internet or wireless networks. We describe the Moving Picture Expert Groupʹs Delivery Multimedia Integration Framework (DMIF) and examine several remote retrieval issues. We also describe our design and implementation of a DMIF-based MPEG-4 multimedia streaming system.
