Abstract :
To describe coupling of the rotational (R) and translational (T) motion in molecular liquids, the RT analogue of the Keilson–Storer collision kernel is derived. This new kernel contains three basic parameters, −1≤γJ≤1, −1≤γV≤1, and 0≤c≤1. The parameters are responsible for the rate of the angular momentum change, the rate of the velocity change, and the RT coupling, respectively. The proposed kernel allows one to analytically calculate various mixed RT correlation functions in the laboratory frame.
