Abstract
The problem of the calculation of chemical and vibrational nonequilibrium flow of a multicomponent gas mixture through a nozzle is formulated. Coupling of the chemical and vibrational kinetic processes was taken into account. The coefficient of optical amplification and/or inversion for the transition CO2(001) → CO2 (100) has been used as one of the principal characteristics calculated. The nonequilibrium behaviour of the reacting N2O+CO+He mixture has been considered in the subsonic, transonic, and supersonic regions of flow. The possibility of the superequilibrium chemical pumping in the supersonic region, as a result of the effect of fast bimolecular reactions, was examined for different initial conditions and different nozzle characteristic dimensions; the influence of small concentrations of the substances containing hydrogen was considered also.
