Abstract :
The temperature dependence of the blue wing of the intercombination absorption Cd 326.1 nm line profile broadened by Ar pressure was carefully studied and tentatively analyzed in the framework of the quasi-static theory. The ground state (XO+) potential was obtained in the range of internuclear separations from 3.95 to 5.2 Å. The well depths and the positions of the ground (XO+) and excited (B31) states are found to be equal to 109.7 ± 3 cm−1, 4.3 Å and 63.2 ± 2 cm−1 4.77 Å respectively. These results agree very well with the results obtained for these states from molecular beam experiments.
