Abstract :
The dynamics of the diagonally driven spin-boson system is studied within the novel so-called “interacting-blip chain approximation” (IBCA), in which the familiar noninteracting-blip approximation is systematically improved by taking fully into account all nearest-neighbor sojourn-blip and blip-blip interactions. The dynamical equations can be written in the form of inhomogeneous coupled integral equations for the offdiagonal elements of the reduced density matrix. A numerical algorithm for the solution of the IBCA equations is presented, allowing simulations of the dynamics of damped tight-binding systems subject to external driving with arbitrary time-dependent diagonal force. We study parameter regimes in which deviations from the noninteracting-blip approximation are significant.
