Two-photon absorption in non-centrosymmetric dyes Original Research Article

The two-photon absorption spectra of two non-centrosymmetric dyes are studied using picosecond Kerr ellipsometry. Physico-chemical similarities of the two dyes permit comparison. A two-level model is well adapted for spectral dispersion in the Disperse Red 1 dye. A three level model accounts for the red shifted spectral dispersion observed in the dialkylamino nitrostilbene dye.
