Abstract :
The physical properties of KLN single crystals vary significantly according to the Nb2O5 content in grown crystals. Therefore, it is very important to control the composition of KLN single crystals. In this study, KLN single crystals with higher Nb2O5 content were grown by temperature fluctuation and top-seeded solution growth (TSSG) methods. In order to investigate the effects of defects due to the increased Nb2O5 in KLN single crystals, dielectric mechanical and optical properties were surveyed. The KLN single crystal grown in this study has the Curie temperature of 480°C and shows diffuse phase transition (DPT) behavior due to the excess Nb2O5 content.
