Some empirical formulas for calculating the ionicity character in semiconductors

Using energy gap Egrx with respect to transverse effective charge, nearest-neighbor distance, cohesive energy, and refractive index, an ionicity scale is obtained that is in reasonable agreement with that of Phillips and other authors.
