Determination of the coefficient of thermal expansion for alpha chloroacetic acid

The coefficient of thermal expansion α for the alpha form of chloroacetic acid has been determined by use of an inert gas flushed dilatometer between 303 and 327 K. The coefficient of thermal expansion changes from 3.70×10−7 at 303 to 1.34×10−4 K−1 at 327 K.
