Abstract
The oxidative polymerization of aniline was carried out in the presence of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) (PVP) and sterically stabilized polyaniline (PANI) dispersions are obtained. These PANI dispersions were deposited in the form of the film on indium-tin-oxide (ITO) coated glass by dip-coating. The morphology of these PANI dispersions have been studied by scanning electron micrograph (SEM), optical absorption by UV–VIS spectroscopy and the cyclic voltammetry properties of these films in non-aqueous electrolyte (0.01 M HCl/acetonitrile) and the interesting results are reported in this communication.
