Abstract :
Redox polymer based on the poly (4-vinylpyridine) complex of [Os(bpy)2Cl]+/2+ quaternized with methyl iodide (PVP–Os) was directly immobilized onto stable mesoporous material MAS-5 by self-assembled method to form a conductive mesostructured composite PVP–Os/MAS-5. A functional electrode modified by this PVP–Os/MAS-5 composite was studied by cyclic voltammetry, and its electrocatalytic activity was demonstrated for nitrite reduction. The potential applications as amperometric sensors for nitrite are anticipated.
